Tamás Réthey-Prikkel

photographer

Tamás has been interested in visual culture since he was a child.

He pursued studies at the Photography Faculty at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest, Hungary. In 2006, Tamás obtained a semester scholarship to the Kent Institute of Art and Design in Maidstone. This experience played a fundamental role in shaping his artistic approach.

As a photographer, he was drawn to the relationship between perspective and composition.
This type of artistic focus flourishes best in building photography.
His images often redefine the built environment.
Tamás strives to acquire an in-depth understanding of the background of each project. An example of such a complex project is the near-300-page MÜPA album created in 2015.
The analytical approach of Tamás is apparent in his dance and portrait photography as well.
